Muni shooting
Plus: 🖼 DALL-E 2 gallery in the Mission?
Hey there, San Francisco.
Around 10 am this morning, a shooting on Muni left one person dead and another injured.
The train was traveling between Forest Hill and the Castro station, where the gunman reportedly exited and fled. Police say no arrests have been made, but they believe it to be an isolated incident.
Supervisor Myrna Melgar told the Chronicle that an argument preceded the shooting.
“The shooter pulled out a gun and shot the guy he was arguing with,” Melgar said. “The second victim was not involved in the verbal altercation but just happened to be right next to the other victim.”
Around 2 pm, SFMTA resumed its normal operations at the Castro station, but said to expect “residual delays.”
“We have too many guns out there,” Melger said. “Too, too many.”
With that… onto more news…

And finally… Epic trash pickup

Shout out to Vince Yuen of Refuse Refuse SF who picked up trash from sun up to sun down yesterday, the longest (and probably the hottest!) day of the year.
Tuesday’s pickup down Mission Street (from the Daly City border to the Embarcadero) ran 14 hours, covered 7.5 miles, and resulted in 118 bags of trash collected. Yuen called it: “On a Mission On Mission.”
“Rain or shine or heat wave, no matter. If trash is out here, we’re out here,” Yuen told Mission Local.
Heck yeah! Awesome job Vince and all the volunteers who helped along the way.
That’s all for today! Thanks for reading y’all and see you back here tomorrow. - Nick B. 🗑
