Hey there, San Francisco.Ā

My dog Olive
My dog Olive can’t handle this heat!

Happy Tuesday. It’s good to be back. But, dang it’s hot!Ā

The National Weather Service had the high today at 86 degrees here in San Francisco!Ā

The rest of the week is supposed to cool down slightly:Ā

  • Wednesday: Sunny, High 79Ā

  • Thursday: Mostly Sunny, High 74Ā

  • Friday: Sunny, High 72Ā

Stay hydrated out there, everyone. Pups included!

With that… onto the news…

Top story: Warriors’ paradeĀ

After winning their 7th NBA title in franchise history last week (and 4th since 2015), the Warriors celebrated on Monday with a parade down Market Street. SFGATE had some good photos ICYMI.Ā

Highlights (and lowlights) included:Ā

  • Klay Thompson lost his championship hat while boating to the parade. He replaced it, though, with a captain's hat. Thompson also apparently dropped one of his title rings, but quickly found it on the ground. He accidentally knocked a fan onto the ground as well.Ā

  • Draymond Green stopped for ice cream at Ghirardelli’s Market Street location. ā€œI just need some ice cream… And a mint bliss!ā€ he told the cashier.Ā

  • BART had crazy long lines. The agency said Monday’s ridership (190,519) was its highest since March 2020. And, that’s not including the ā€œmany ridersā€ that were let on for free so they wouldn’t miss the parade, BART said.Ā

  • Some 90 medical calls were made and 21 people were taken to the emergency room, mostly for issues related to heat and dehydration, SFGATE reported.Ā

ā€œThat's what it's all about. Entertaining you guys, giving you something to cheer for, be passionate about,ā€ Steph Curry said on Monday. ā€œWe’re back.ā€Ā

Because I don’t really keep up with these things anymore, I’m especially thankful for SFGATE’s Dan Gentile who recently put together a good list of summer concerts here in San Francisco.Ā

Scroll through and maybe add a couple to your calendar. Some cheap-ish tickets that caught my eye, include:Ā

  • Cola at Rickshaw Stop / July 8, $15Ā

  • Animal Collective at The Warfield / August 10, $40Ā

  • And, Jazz is Dead Tour at August Hall / August 25, $30Ā

That’s all for today! Have a wonderful evening y’all and I’ll see you back here tomorrow. - Nick B. 🧊
